Zizipho Gcasamba is 27 years old and lives in Makhaza, Khayelitsha. She studied at New Africa Theatre and has been involved in several performances, worked as an art & dance teacher since graduating in 2011. Zizipho loves performing for children and especially to see children’s’ faces light up as they enjoy the show. By participating in Jungle’s training programme she hopes to gain more experience in children’s theatre with the aim to give children hope and experience learning through the arts.

Mario Matiya is 24 and lives in Capricorn and obtained an advanced diploma in acting from City Varsity in 2017. His strengths include dancing and singing (tenor). He is passionate about the arts and enjoys working with children because drama gives them confidence and stimulates their minds. He is looking forward to learn more about mime and physical theatre and to give back to his community.

 

Noxolo Magadla is 25 years old and resides in Makhaza, Khayelitsha. She started dancing in primary school and graduated from Indoni dance, arts and leadership academy as a dancer in 2017. Since then she has performed at the Artscape, Baxter, and Magnet Theatre and also went to Australia in 2016 with Indoni. Noxolo is very excited to learn about children’s theatre and to be able to work with children going forward.

 

 

Monray Davids is 28 years old and lives in Firgrove, Somerset West. He has been interested in the arts from an early age and involved in the choir and drama club in primary school. He continued learning music & became a self-taught flutist and played in several orchestras. In 2013 he graduated with a B-Tec Diploma in Performing Arts from Northlink College. He performed in several plays and also worked as a recorder & drama teacher. Monray is excited about learning about children’s theatre and feels that he knows how to get the best out of children.
