Bongi Bird

Healthy Bird was born during Covid when it was performed to children keeping waiting in cues at soup kitchens and at ECD’s to keep them entertained, teach them about social distancing and wearing masks.

The adapted show called Bongi Bird involves a fun and energetic bird character called Bongi with a creative bird beak mask and wings. Through interactive clapping and singing the children are inspired to be like Bongi Bird, to eat healthy, plant seeds, do exercise and boost their immune systems. They are invited to dance and to fly like Bongi Bird.

The show is performed by 2 Jungle actors and 30 minutes in duration and most suitable for children aged up to 6 years. Most recently it was performed at the Wolfie Family Festival and Zabalaza Festival.
