Since mid-2016 (terms 3 & 4) up until the end of term 1  – 2017, Jungle Theatre Company has been facilitating performing arts clubs in different areas i.e. Khayelitsha and Kalksteenfontein, with grade 4 – 6 learners from Impendulo, Kalksteenfontein, Montana and Ikwezi primary schools. The weekly sessions focused on characters from African mythology for carnival arts skills training; storytelling skills and further skills such as: music, dance & movement, costume-making and mime. Each term culminated in a parade or showcase in the respective communities and as part of the Muizenberg Festival.
